One morning, a bunch of banana’s got together and decided to make a dessert, with no other fruit. They walked in to a store and met the healthy Mr. Biscuit, who introduced them to Ms. Dulce de leche. Upon sharing their idea, the others were excited to be a part of this dessert and pondered over the thought if only they can make it. So, all excited and happy they headed to Diletto and asked the head chef to combine them into an awesome kickass dessert. The head chef agrees but suggested two more to be a part of this tasty dream – Ms. Cream and Master Walnut.
With 200 gms each of crushed Mr. Biscuit, Ms. Dulce de leche and 3-4 Mr. Bananas, the head chef started whipping up 300 ml of Ms. Cream. She added 50 gms of Master Walnuts to the crushed biscuits. Sensing the aroma, 100 gms of Ms. Butter melted her way into the mix. Once they were refrigerated for about 30 mins, she spread dulce de leche and placed thin slices of bananas which was then topped off with whipped cream and sprinkled with some more walnuts on top.
As the dessert came out of the fridge, curious on lookers started staring through the window, lining up and waiting to taste this newcomer. They all asked what’s the name? what is it called?
To this, the head chef at Diletto replied with a smile - It’s a Banoffee Pie!
(since the Bananas did not want anybody else, except them to be the centre of attraction)
